10 Day Tour from Casablanca

Pick up from Casablanca Airpot  and from there we departure to Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco. In Rabat we will visit the splendid Mohammed V Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower and the kasba des Oudayas. Late in the afternoon drive to Chefchaouen , where we stay overnight in local riad .

After Breakfast we continues  visiting  Chefchaouen, a colorful vilage. Chefchaouen is one of the most spectacular places in the North  of Morocco. In this laid-back mountain town the Spanish culture is prevalent. Independent lunch followed by an afternoon of sightseeing tour of the charming souk and a visit to the Kasbah and the Ethnographic Museum. Overnight stay in local riad  in Chefchaouen.

After Breakfast we continue our private tour from Chefchaouen to Fes with a stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the sacred town of Moulay Idriss I, where the founder of Islam in Morocco is buried. Independent lunch and departure to Meknes or “the Moroccan Versailles”, which was founded at the end of the 17th Century by Moulay Ismail. Highlights will include Bab Mansour, Hari Souani and the old Medina. We will then continue to Fes and we stay overnight in local riad (traditional Moroccan house)/hotel in Fes.

After breakfast, you will begin your visit of Fes “the oldest living Medina in the world” with a local official tour guide. You will tour the Medina with its “souks” (markets), stopping at the gateway of the Royal Palace, the 9th century Karouine mosque and University. You will visit also the tomb of the city founder “Moulay Idriss II”. Lunch will be at one of the traditional restaurants in the old Medina. After lunch you will continue your tour to visit the Najarine Fountain, the old Harem Garden and the Batha Museum. On the way back to the hotel, you will stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the city.

After the breakfast we will start our day to Merzouga crossing the Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane to arrive to the cedar forests of Azrou where the wild monkeys are located. It will be good opportunity to take photos of wilderness in Morocco. Lunch in a small Berber village of Zaida. We continue the way through the Atlas Mountains enjoying the landscapes of Medilt to arrive to the small town of Rich, Erfoud in which we’ll feel the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet then we continue to Merzouga. Overnight in a hotel near the dunes.

After breakfast in the hotel you’ll start your explorative desert journey of the area, visiting the village of Khamlia, originally slaves from Sudan to experience their music and lifestyle. Not far away there’s the lake of Merzouga, with its bird populations, including flamingos. You may also like to visit the nomad wire house where many Berber handicrafts are priced lower than in the big cities. On the afternoon you will ride camel, guided by an experienced Camel man, to explore inside the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi. Here you’ll spend your first night under the stars, or if you prefer, in a traditional Berber nomad tent. Dinner will be served in the tent where you will spend the night. Dinner Bed and Breakfast.

Today, we will have a very early wake-up call for sunrise. Here, you will enjoy the spectacular sand dunes changing the colours and reflecting the light, then a 1- 2hr camel ride on the gorgeous sand dunes of Merzouga. Return to the hotel for breakfast and then departure to Dades valley through Ziz Oases and Tinjdad, a road full of sumptuous Kasbahs and palm groves. Independent lunch followed by a visit to the Todgha Gorge with their impressive bare escarpments. We then continue to Boumalen Dades​ via a series of spectacular hairpin bends. Dinner and overnight stay in Dades Gorges.

After breakfast, we continue our private Morocco tour from Casablanca and we drive to Ouarzazate “Hollywood of Morocco” via Roses valley and Skoura Ouases. Once in Ouarzazate, we visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, originally the residence of the Pasha of Marrakech and a symbol of the feudal period of the lords of Atlas. Lunch at the World heritage site of Ait Benhaddou (this famous kasbah was used as a backdrop for more than 20 films). Continue the journey to Marrakech via the Pass of Tizi n’Tichka . Late afternoon arrival in Marrakech, and overnight in riad  / hotel.

This day will be devoted to the sightseeing of Marrakech, the second oldest imperial city, known as the “Pearl of the South” and home to the Saadian tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace and the Menara Garden. We will return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, we will explore the souks and the world’s famous Djemaa El Fna place, which offers various entertainments, such as storytellers, acrobats, snake-charmers, magicians, etc. Night in Riad / Hotel .

On the last day of our private  tour , we travel to Casablanca. Your half day sightseeing includes the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque, currently the second largest Mosque in the world and the beautiful Corniche seaside. Take a moment to catch your breath at the end of your Moroccan adventure to admire the serenity of the Atlantic Ocean. Continue on a short drive through the residential areas of Casablanca to the city centre to visit the Mohamed V Square, the Habous quarter and the Notre Dame de Lourdes Cathedral.
